'I met Shirley 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, Bianca. She has been there for my family ever since. She helped me to establish a feeding programme for Bianca because I was experiencing difficulties during this time. She baby sat for me, went for walks with me and even sang to Bianca until she fell asleep! Bianca is now 6 years old, we have another child and she is there with her help and suppport, a friendly disposition, and smile (as always). 'Shirley is great. For the last 3 years I was feeling very down. My doctor told me I was having a breakdown. I didn't know what to do. I went to see Shirley even though we hadn't been in touch for long time. I knocked on her door and she was so please to see me! I couldn't help but start bawling out all my troubles - I had slipped up with my boyfriend, fallen out with my best friend and was in debt for £8000 with only £2000 in the bank. Shirley prayed for me and listened to what I had to say. She didn't judge me. Shirley would phone me most days just to see how I was. She said I was always welcome to see her. She gave me tonnes of support and encouragement to be strong and I really value our friendship. She is a beautiful person inside and out. A good soul that you can count on.

'I first met Mrs Shirley Scott in 2006 when I joined my local church, where Shirley worked as a leader. She became a positive figure in my life. Shirley was my mentor and helped me in my faith walk, with her skills, expertise and wealth of experience. She has helped me on my biblical journey. She encouraged me to keep faith when I was wavering, she helped me with practicing patience, her non-judgemental attitude and positivity helped me carve out a way even when I could not see a way. Shirley was an excellent mentor and always had time for me and others. She instilled so much in me that I still have and use to this day. I have valued every part of her teaching and leadership. I believe Shirley is a great leader and a very positive role model who has played a valuable role in my life.'

I first met Shirley through church back in 2015. I’m a recovering addict and gave my life to the Lord that year. Over time I got to know Shirley she was non judgmental and very friendly and I later came to know she had worked in a place helping and supporting people like myself. I guess this is what drawn me to her with out knowing. Her life is always centred around God and she always prays for me I always leave her feeling the presence or God. She always texts to see how I'm doing and asking how my family and daughter are doing. She's a real caring spirit and it’s a blessing to know someone that has dealings and experience with metal health ect over the years. Popping in for lovely meals and going to Costco food shopping some times with my daughter sitting and having pizza there being invited to birthday party’s what a blessing to know her.
